Terms of Trade Limelight Electrical

1. Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Limelight Electrical, its employees, contractors, or agents.

  • “Client” means the person, company, or entity engaging the Company for electrical services.

  • “Services” means any work, advice, labour, materials, or products provided by the Company.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting a quote, invoice, or allowing the Company to commence work, the Client agrees to these terms. These terms take precedence over any terms supplied by the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

3. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

  • Prices are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

  • Additional charges may apply for unforeseen issues, variations, after-hours work, or delays caused by the Client or third parties.

  • The company reserve the right to adjust pricing at its discretion where costs increase, the scope of work changes, or additional services are requested

 

4. Payment Terms

  • Invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

  • Invoices are a payment claim under the "Electricity Act 1992" 

  • All collection costs incurred in recovering overdue payments will be payable by the Client.

 

5. Ownership and Risk

  • Ownership of goods and materials supplied remains with the Company Limelight Electrical until full payment is received.

  • Risk in goods passes to the Client on delivery or installation.

 

6. Variations & Additional Work

  • Any changes or additions to the scope of work must be agreed in writing.

  • Variations may affect project cost and timeframe

  • The company reserve the right to adjust pricing at its discretion where costs increase, the scope of work changes, or additional services are requested

 

7. Warranties

  • The Company warrants workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to products and materials supplied.

  • Warranty does not cover faults due to misuse, unauthorised repair, or fair wear and tear.

 

8. Liability

  • The Company is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss.

  • Total liability is limited to the value of the services rendered.

  • The Client must notify the Company of any alleged defect within 7 days of discovery.

 

9. Access & Site Requirements

  • The Client must provide clear, safe, and reasonable access to the site.

  • Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional charges.

 

10. Cancellations

  • Work cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time may incur a cancellation fee.

  • The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to safety, weather, or supply issues.

 

11. Health & Safety

  • The Company complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

  • The Client must inform the Company of any known site hazards prior to commencement.

 

12. Dispute Resolution

  • Parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably.

  • If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or adjudication in accordance with NZ law.

 

13. Privacy

  • The Company collects and stores Client information solely for business purposes in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Client details will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
